Bill Bentz has built over 80 custom homes for clients. He has the experience as a Contractor to nurture the Homeowner-Contractor relationship to a successful end. He has the patience and experience to guide you to the end product you want, and to make sure you enjoy the experience.
Custom Homes are his specialty. This is a hands-on company and Bill runs his own jobs. He builds the jobs. Bill is in the field daily, working with our team. Our small, centrally located office keeps our overhead low and our pricing competitive.
We are fiscally responsible to you. We open a checkbook for each job. All subcontractors and suppliers are paid from that account. the control of the job and its speed and quality remains in your hands. There is no co-mingling of funds with other jobs. At any time you can monitor the bank balance and we have a very easy to understand budget that can be furnished to you weekly or monthly. Every cost category is coded specifically for your job according to your specific contractual budget. We can furnish you with any report showing any combination of cost categories that might be of interest to you.	Bill has been a state licensed contractor in the residential construction industry since 1977. He has had his corporation active since 1977. Next year we celebrate 30 years in the business!!!
	We use the latest project management software to administer your job. We use e-mail, digital photographs, and wireless communication technologies. All insurance requirements for subcontractors are monitored and we verify that every subcontractor and supplier is properly registered with the State of Florida and legitimate. We monitor and self audit the workforce and have a safety program that meets monthly. We also administer a drug free workplace program. We provide health insurance to our employees and a 401K plan to help our employees meet future financial security.
Bill was born in Miami Beach and grew up in a water skiing family. His father, Leo Bentz, owned and operated Lee's Ski School on Miami Beach where he designed the Ski Nautique Tournament Powerboat. He tought Mick Jagger and all the Rolling Stones to water ski, amongst other celebrities who visited miami beach. His mother was a National Water Skiing Champion. Leo later became an attorney and the family moved to Lighthouse Point where he became Mayor. Bill attended Pine Crest Preparatory School and graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School. He graduated from Florida State University with a major in Economics and later attended the Carl Matthews School of Construction. Being an avid sailor during high school and college, Bill commissioned a one-design sailboat to be built and raced it in several national championships. He was later asked to coach the US Optimist Sailing Team in Ireland. He still races and keeps his boat at Lauderdale Yacht Club where he still associates with friends from his younger years. In 1977, as a young man, Bill incorporated his company and upon graduation from FSU moved to Bradenton, Florida where he started his career in construction. He has two sons, Tyler and Justice. Tyler attends Florida Atlantic University and Justice attends Bill's Alma matter, Cardinal Gibbons High School. Bill lives within walking distance of his office located in Harbor Beach by the world famous Pier 66 and is active in the community. Bill enjoys time with his sons and sets an example for them as a hard working contributor in the Fort Lauderdale neighborhood. When not working Bill participates in activities such as kiteboarding, racing sailboats at Lauderdale Yacht Club, boating in the Bahamas, including free diving and spearfishing. Bill and his sons are active kiteboarders and snowboarders and travel and board together several times every year. Last year trips to Costa Rica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Bahamas, and the Keys kept the kiteboarding spirit alive and the family together. Catching "air" is the new focus when not working.
